Our founder

Maja Bovcon After a decade of industry experience with Verisk Maplecroft, Maja Bovcon founded Bovcon Risk consulting. She holds a PhD in Politics and International Relations and a Master’s in African Studies, both from the University of Oxford. During her time at Verisk Maplecroft, she advised several top global companies such as BHP, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Walmart, IFC and Bank of America. She delivered consultancy services to the Foreign Office of the UK government and acted as an expert witness for the U.S. and U.K.-based international law firms. Her analyses were quoted by major news agencies including Bloomberg, Reuters, Washington Post and France24.
